the color cartridges i purchased work great and upon installation show full capacity. Howeveer, the black refurb cartridge only shows 1/4 full and upon installation and runs out very quickly.

Original Dell cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. Unfortunately this sensor cannot be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it will print fine but the sensor will always report low ink. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Your cartridge is under full warranty for one year from the purchase date. It will print a full life cycle just like the original. Please give us a call if you experience any issues with the print quality at 888-321-2552.

One might say there are several reasons for using refurbished cartridges. They work, they're cheaper, and I can usually get one in a couple of days. If you should happen to have a problem with one of their cartridges they will replace it. They seem to last longer for me in comparison to other brands.
