It is normal for compatible/remanufactured cartridges to read empty ink levels. Canon and other manufacturers designs their printers' ink levels to only function with genuine ink cartridges as a ploy to get customers to only buy their products. Unfortunately, remanufacturers do not know of a way to get the ink levels working properly but we do know that these cartridges will work in your printer and they have the full amount of ink in them. You will know when you are low on ink when your pages start to print faintly.

The pricing of the refurbished inl cartriges is an excellent value compared to the price of new retail cartriges.
The Customer Service from 4Ink is outstanding. The lasting quality of these cartriges do not seem to last as long as new manufactured cartriges, but I think that is true of any refurbished cartrige.

I agree with most of the reviews on this cartridge that this cartridge does work well with the Canon ip4500 printer over a period of 1-2 years. However, be very careful with "LD" compatible inkjet cartridges made for Canon inkjet printers. I have had two Canon printers with "clogged" printheads(and no amount of cleaning solutions were effective at "unclogging the printhead") using LD Canon-compatible inkjet cartridges. I have owned several Canon inkjet printers over the years and never had clogged printheads when using only genuine Canon inkjet cartridges. "You get what you pay for".

I was a little hesitant to buy this after reading some of the reviews about leakage, but I followed the installation directions (which do mention how to mitigate leakage during installation). I just printed a 183 page document and the printed material looks no different than when printed with Canon ink. This ink is a great deal. I'll never waste money on Canon ink again.

This is the only product I buy anymore because it lasts a very long time. It takes awhile before it triggers my printer warning "running out of ink." Then it still lasts for a few more printings. Wonderful.

I ordered three of these cartridges. The first had to be thrown out. There were large ink blotches all over the paper I tried printing on. The second one worked, but the value is lost when there are completely useless cartridges.

The cli-5 and cli-8 cartridges from LD work just like oem ones in Canon ip4300 and MX-850 printers. This includes printing photos on Canon photo paper. The printers usually recognize ink levels correctly and have never given false empty messages. LD's seem to do ok when mixed with oem cartridges in the same printer. Perfect for me, and I recommend them to my refurbed printer customers.

The Canon Pixma MX700 is somewhat of an ink guzzler. I cringed every time I had to purchase an original manufactured cartridge. I tried other ink companies, and even purchased cheap ink to refill which resulted in a mess and didn't print as well. Also by reusing the cartridge I had to do several maneuvers to trick my printer into thinking it had a new cartridge and then keep an eye on how much ink was in them. Ugh
This product is wonderful! My printer prints nicely and it recognizes the cartridge like the Canon product! I hope you continue this product for as long as I own my printer.
