This particular cartridge is working great. On some occasions I have purchased in the passed I have found that the cartages do not last as long as the factory. But you have to way out the price difference. Overall I would say that I win by using refills.

I finally had to get a new printer. The ink works for awhile then after using consistently non manufacturer ink, the printer would not print, the pages were blank. Manufacturer said it was from the ink cartridges.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I have two 8500 Premium printers and I installed the Black ink cartride on each, but neither printer updated the ink levels i.e. it showed 'empty'. The printers still print fine, but the ink level doesn't register, which is a problem because you can't tell how low the level is and how soon you are about to run out until you actually run out!! That's the reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 5. I called LD Customer Service and they told me that as long as it prints, it's ok and they didn't have a fix for it.

When purchasing remanufactured cartridges it is very common to get a "low" or "empty" error message because these cartridges have already been through one cycle of service. Unfortunately, we are unable to reset the electronic chip to allow accurate ink level monitoring. The printer is reading the chip on the cartridge, not the actual ink levels inside of the cartridge.
Unfortunately, HP and other printer manufacturers have designed the electronic chips this way to discourage the use of remanufactured products so that they can sell more of their own brand of ink.

I HAVE BOUGHT ALMOST A DOZEN OF THESE AND THE NO OF PAGES I CAN PRINT VARY SOMETIMES BY ALMOST 30-50%. THE LAST TWO CARTRIDGES FROM MY DECEMBER PURCHASE HAD THE LOWEST YIELD.
